Phat Moose - 1 Year Anniversary

In honor of Phat Moose Cycles' first anniversary, I thought I'd post some before and after pics. Thankfully Dave Wilson (Phat Moose Team Rider & founder of Capital Freeride) took some "before" pics, when it was a big basement-grey painted (walls, ceiling, floors) empty box.






























































Then a whole lotta blood, sweat and laughs was put into it...

And now one year later, we love that the floor isn't quite as shiny, due to the heaps of bikes, customers, and friends that come through the door. The walls and shelves are a lot more packed with fun stuff, and the Moose was awarded second place in Ottawa Express's Readers' Choice "Best of" in the bike shop category.















































































And Oreo the shop dog still greets everyone with a big smile and a slobbery ball to throw.

It's been an awesome first year full of friends, laughs, hard work, and late nights. This week alone, Kent put in over one hundred hours at the shop. Seriously. But I know he wouldn't trade it for anything, and that is the coolest part. Happy Birthday Phat Moose!! :-)
