Happy belated International Women's Day

I thought I'd engage in some link dumping, in honour of International Women's Day earlier this week. There were a whole lotta good articles and blog posts floating around this week due to IWD. Here are a few of my faves, which, when taken together, have really made me think.

The first is this blog post by Ariel Troster about why feminism remains important. That sets the stage.

Then, we have this article by Audra Williams called A Gap in the Movement from Rabble and This Mag, about organizing - why we don't, why it's important, and how we could.

And then there's this post by Rombo of What an African Woman Thinks, which drives home the points that Audra makes about how women largely underestimate and undervalue themselves.

There were zillions of articles also about women in the developing world and women's rights here in NA, etc, etc, but the ideas from these three taken together have really stuck in my mind - even now, a few days later. xoxo
